Performing Manufacturing Operations

Below are the duties that would typically be included in a Manufacturing role.
General Duties:

Reporting directly to the Manufacturing Operations Manager you will be part of the Manufacturing team, which consists of Production, Logistics, Supply Chain, Quality and Engineering departments.
They will drive and maintain operational excellence across the whole of the manufacturing department to ensure that goods and services are produced efficiently, to a high standard and in line with the company’s strategic and operational targets. Ensure machines and equipment used for production are maintained and serviceable, sets and operates machines during production, plans and sets up the sequence of operations according to drawings, layouts and other instructions, assemble products using jigs and tools, could work in the following sectors: electrical, electronic, automotive, aviation, metal goods, marine etc.

Training To Be Provided:

At the end of your training you will have completed a level 2 Apprenticeship in Performing Manufacturing Operations. You will achieve this by attending a combination of classroom taught modules and on the job training.
You will complete a BTEC in Improving Performance for Manufacturing Engineering Operations to gain the knowledge to perform effectively in your job role. Within the workplace you will demonstrate your competence through the performance of tasks achieving an NVQ in Performing Manufacturing Operations also.
Functional Skills English and Maths Level 1 may also be undertaken if required, for learners to have the opportunity to improve Literacy and Numeracy skills
